About Cotton Ginning Process

Cotton Ginning is process of separating the cotton Fibre & Seeds from the seed cotton (Raw cotton) Perfect ginning process would be performed if the separation of Fibre & seeds was affected without the slightest injury to either seeds or to the Fibre.

Cotton Ginning Plant is the setup of machinery where the seed cotton (raw cotton) which come from farm is First cleaned and remove impurity then convey to gin machine to separate Fibre and seeds quickly then convey Fibre and seeds separately. Fibre convey to Lint cleaner machine to remove short fibre and impurity and then to Press Machine to make Bale giving some % of steam moisture to make r fibre soft so that bale can be pressed in Hydraulic Baling Press Machine easily and Seeds convey to outside of Gin House for further oil mill process or used again to grow more cotton in farm.

In ancient time this job is done by hand manually. Day by day Human mind developed and he invented mechanism to separate Fibre and seed quickly betterthan hand work. and it is called gin stand Machine.

Cottonseed, as the by-product of cotton ginning operation, is covered with fibrous lint. The cottonseed is mainly made up of inner kernel, usually called "meats". This meaty portion contains all the oil as well as proteins, and it is enclosed in the fibrous hull. Over the hull stick out the cotton fibre which escape the ginning and left on seeds. These cotton fibres are called "lint".

By processing cotton seeds, we can get maximum benefits. The inner kernel can be planted, fed to livestock, made into cottonseed oil for human consumption, used for fertilizer, or used in products like lotions and soap. The lint we get from cotton seed de linting has wide application in cotton blanket, sweat shirt, paper board industry and cotton pulp, etc. Therefore, the cottonseed delinter is very essential in cotton processing.

Saw gin machine gives mass production but its suite and used in some area in world and some of quality of cotton only where Fibre length is higher than minimum regular length and strength, required. Because in some cases Saw gin machine slightly injure the length of fibre and quality. comparatively Roller Gin Machine give low production but give good quality of fibre and does not damage the fibre length and quality. So, the higher production Human invented Double Roller Gin machine. Double Roller Gin machine give double production then single roller Gin machine. And give good quality of fibre and does not injure length fibre length. So now the most of area of world and type of cotton the Double Roller Gin Technology is useful and suitable. we have mentioned hear under some example for just understanding type of Indian cotton. Same as many type of cotton grown and known in world wide.
